Why Read On?

This is the only blog where you are going to get real information about pre-teen and early teen advice about middle school and how to stay on top. And it's not coming from a psychologist or nice middle-aged woman. It's coming from one of those pretty, popular girls you hate so much. I'm here to give it to you strait (but very nicely).

Going Back to School

I get it. Some of you are excited and happy to see your friends and learn lots of great stuff. Others are upset to be leaving the freedom and sunshine of summer. I'm not either. I'm not happy about going back to school. I'm not a bad student. In fact, I'm an honors student. I do great in school. That doesn't mean I like it. But, in order to make people envy you a key is to always make it seem like your life is perfect and you have no problems. Put on that fake smile and work it!

Here are my 5 tips on how to have a great school year and get more friends and put yourself higher in the social scene.

1. Look good. Looks aren't everything but they do matter. Don't let anyone tell you differently. You will feel better and more confident if you look your best.

2. Sleep. You will be more awake, alert, alive, and enthusiastic. People like it when you are happy to be alive.

3. Talk to everyone. From the geeks, to the artists, to the jocks, talk to everyone. The whole point is to make people like you. Never ever ever be mean to ANYBODY. It's just wrong in general and people will hate you.

4. Get good grades. In the movies, people at the top of the social food chain are dumb. Not in real life. People will also envy your good grades.

5. Be yourself and be different. It's better to take a risk and look different than to play it safe and go unnoticed.

Yours truely, Jenna with a Heart
